Our story
Why I built ChoreGenius
Hi, I'm Andrew!
I built ChoreGenius for my three daughters. I wanted them to help out around the house without my wife and me constantly reminding them what needed to be done.
Traditional chore charts never really stuck, so I tried something different: give chores a point value and let the kids decide when they wanted to earn them. Those points could then be traded for things they actually cared about, like cash or screen time.
It worked surprisingly well. Chores became less about nagging and more about giving our kids a little independence—and a reason to take responsibility on their own.
ChoreGenius is the simple app I built to make that system work for our family. Now I'm sharing it in case it works for yours, too.
